Family Works Hawke's Bay Community Initiatives
Every strong healthy family is part of a supportive, connected community. So we are committed to a number of new and existing projects that are helping to build a stronger community. Some of these are focussed on quite a specific area or part of the community, others are more general. Family Works Hawke's Bay is currently involved with the following community initiatives:
- A collaboration with the Nikau Centre to provide support to at-risk youth and their families
- Working in partnership with Flaxmere Work and Income
- Partnership with Kina Trust and Hawke's Bay DHB to provide the 21 Fun Street Programme
- Membership of LIVE HB (Local Initiative for Violence Elimination)
We have also supported these recent initiatives:
- Family Week 2008

Family Works Tairawhiti is currently involved with the following community initiatives:
- The Tairawhiti Manager is chairperson of GISCOSS (Gisborne Council of Social Services)
- Family Works Tairawhiti is a signed member of TAINE (the local stopping violence network)
- Family Works Tairawhiti has been selected as the provider agency for the Youth Offending Preventio Co-ordinator
- Memorandum of Understanding with Ngati Porou
- Family Week 2008
